Jacqueline Stashek
I have been an educator for eleven years. Last school year I began a new position as an Instructional Coach for the D.C. Everest Secondary Schools, and this year have focused my attention at the middle level. While busy with my current position, I am also enrolled in a Doctoral program through Edgewood College in Madison. In addition to my Ed.D, I am seeking Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Principal, and Superintendent licenses.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2005 and began teaching literacy blocks of English Language Learners, Gifted and Talented students and Students with disabilities at John Muir Middle School in the Wausau School District. After receiving my Masters in Reading and becoming a certified Reading Specialist from Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2008, I began working as a Reading Specialist and English teacher in the D.C. Everest School District.
I am married to Shane, an amazing personal banker and a more amazing human being. We have three wonderful children - Ethan, Isabella and Alayna - who complete our days with laughter and craziness. In the precious free time I have, I enjoy an eclectic mix of interests including gardening, reading, water skiing, attending fitness classes, kayaking, hiking, painting, and decorating my house,
This blog will be a place for me to provide support to teachers, as we share ideas and resources. Feel free to leave me a comment, ask a question, and explore the site!
